Household Hazardous Waste Collections in Bergen County

The Bergen County Utilities Authority is collecting hazardous household waste products at the foot of Empire Boulevard in Moonachie, open to Bergen County residents with proper identification.

Acceptable materials include: 

  • aerosol cans
  • anti-freeze
  • rechargeable batteries
  • mercury switches
  • propane gas cylinders
  • used motor oil
  • paints and varnishes
  • used oil filters
  • fluorescent light bulbs
  • insecticides
