New Westwood Store Specializes in Unique Accessories for Women

The owners of Fashion Trend are offering unique pieces of jewelry and other women's clothing accessories at their new store on Westwood Avenue.

According to Anna Jiang, one of the store's owners, they settled on the location after she shopped in Westwood but found the various clothing boutiques could not quite quench her thirst for fashionable accessories. The borough seemed like a good location because it is already a popular destination for shoppers, Jiang said. The owners of Fashion Trend have operated a similar store on Main Street in Hackensack for more than 11 years.

"We thought that this would be a great location to get people to know our brand name," Jiang said.

Fashion Trend stocks a variety of unique necklaces, rings, watches and bracelets. According to Jiang, they design the jewelry sold in the store. Right now, crystal is their big seller, which Jiang said is popular because it is comfortable for people with all skin types, even those with allergies to certain materials.

The store also carries more than styles of 50 bags and 100 styles of sunglasses, Jiang said. The bags they sell can all be worn multiple ways.

"You're not just getting one bag, you're getting three bags," Jiang said.

The move to Westwood is not the only expansion for Fashion Trend. Jiang said they are also extending their business with a new website, though not all the merchandise has been added yet.

Fashion Trend is currently offering a 10 percent discount to students for prom season. They are located at 273 Westwood Avenue.
