Gas Leak Shuts Down Portion of Broadway in Westwood

Broadway is closed to motorists between Westwood Avenue and Irvington Street Wednesday as PSE&G employees work to repair a gas leak.

Around noon, a crew was digging up the street in front of Chase Bank.

Annette Hicks of PSE&G said employees were working at the site of what is classified as a normal gas leak and they were replacing the gas service because of the leak.

Hicks said all work should be completed Wednesday, but the utility company was not sure what time.
