Mt Everest Sees Largest Turnout in Westwood

Westwood's had its yearly Black Friday Early Bird Special from 7 to 10 a.m., and other sales continuing through Sunday.

Although the town itself saw few shoppers this morning, the ski shop had a great turnout, according to Manager Tim Trass.

"Our customer base increases, so the turnout usually grows each year," Trass said.

Other Westwood shops were not so lucky.   owner Susan Weinrich's low expectations for Friday morning were met, with just two customers in the first half hour.

"Black Friday has never been that busy," Weinrich said. "We'll get a lot done around the store today."
