Police Are Investigating Home Burglary
Jewelry was taken from a Beech Street residence in Washington Township

are investigating a home burglary that recently occurred on Beech Street. According to reports, jewelry was taken from the home after a person entered through a window.
Officers Vincent Montalbano and Travis Cangialosi went to a Beech Street home at 9:30 a.m. Aug. 6 after police received a report of a home burglary, police said. After an initial investigation and talking to the homeowner, police determined an unknown person had entered the home through a rear window, went to the master bedroom and stole jewelry, according to reports.
Detective Sgt. John Calamari went to the home to process the scene for evidence with the help of the Bureau of Criminal Investigation of the Bergen County Sheriff's Department.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing and police encourage residents to report strange or suspicious activity to the department by calling 201-664-1140.
