A high tension power line that broke off a utility pole along Crest Street in Westwood caused a minor brush fire Tuesday afternoon.
Westwood Fire Chief Chris Kelley said the power line broke off the pole and landed in the brush shortly after 1 p.m.
"It's still energized so it's likely to set the brush on fire," Kelley said.

The fire, near the parking lot for Burke's on Old Hook, did not cause traffic delays. Police were blocking cars from turning from Old Hook Road onto Crest Street, but Crest Street was still accessible from Kinderkamack Road.
