Cops: Woodbridge High School Student Said He Was 'Going To Shoot Other Students'

A 17-year-old Woodbridge High School student who said he was “going to shoot other students at the school” was charged with terroristic threats, false public alarm and possession of a weapon for unlawful purpose, police said.
Police seized three shotguns from the student that belonged to the student’s father, whose identity was withheld. An investigation revealed that the father can’t possess a firearm, so he, too, faces charges, according to mycentraljersey.com.
The student was jailed in the Middlesex County Juvenile Detention Center in North Brunswick, according to mycentraljersey.com.

The student was arrested at approximately 5 p.m., and an email sent from Superintendent Robert Zega’s office to parents acknowledged the arrest, according to nj.com.
Zega had earlier alerted parents there would be an increase in police presence at the school, according to nj.com.
