• Woodbridge Clears a Hurdle for New Hopelawn Elementary School (tapinto.net) — Woodbridge has cleared a key hurdle to build a new $51.2 million Hopelawn elementary school, using a land swap involving Clyde Avenue Park and property near Lynn Crest Elementary in Colonia. The K–5 school, targeted to open in September 2028, is expected to shorten long bus rides, strengthen neighborhood ties, boost property values, and be funded through bonds and PILOT revenues rather than new local property taxes.
