Cops: Taxi Driver Hits Telephone Pole, Dies From Injuries in Woodbridge
Authorities said the driver lost control of his vehicle Sunday afternoon, near Route 1 and Green Street in Woodbridge.

A taxi driver died after his vehicle hit a utility pole Sunday afternoon near the intersection of Route 1 north and Green Street, police said.
Authorities told the newspaper that the driver, whose name was not immediately released, lost control of his vehicle, NJ.com reported.
He was pronounced dead at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, the report said.

The driver of the taxi lost control and struck another car. The taxi then struck a utility pole, knocking it over, police said.
The taxi driver had to be extricated from the vehicle, and was pronounced dead at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick. The accident caused minor damage and minor injuries to the other vehicle, according to mycentraljersey.com.

Traffic signals were out in all directions at the intersection of Route 1 and Green Street for an extended period of time, according to the report.
