Search Continues for Missing Linden Woman
Last seen at the Long Branch train station on March 8, the search continues for Tyrita Julius.
Linden, NJ - The search continues for Tyrita Julius, the missing Linden woman who was last seen at the Long Branch train station on March 8. Police are now working with NJ Transit to review train security footage.
Julius, 41, was the victim of a shooting on Nov. 24 in Linden.
Police think she and her daughter, 15, were the intended targets in that shooting, when a man wearing a dark scarf around his face stopped and talked to both women as they sat inside the car Julius was driving. The gunman then fired into the car at them. The daughter suffered a graze wound and gunshot wound to the wrist, and Julius, struck eight times in the torso and pelvis, remained in critical condition after the shooting.

"She wasn't completely recovered and was still going to physical therapy," her friend Christine Peoples told NJ.com. "We just want her home. This is very unusual. Her kids are her life and she wouldn't go anywhere and just leave them."
Union County Crime Stoppers is now offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to her whereabouts.
