Third Round Of Sex Charges Filed Against Woodbridge Doctor

Multiple women say he inappropriately touched them at Amboy Urgent Care. An additional woman said Dr. Johal had intercourse with her:

WOODBRIDGE, NJ — A new third round of criminal charges has now been filed against a medical doctor who lives in Woodbridge and is accused of ṣexually touching his female patients without their consent.

The doctor is Dr. Gurvindra Johal, 55, who lives in the Colonia section of Woodbridge.

He worked at Amboy Urgent Care, located at 469 Cornell Street in Perth Amboy.

Last Tuesday, April 4, Johal was charged with a new count of criminal sexual contact.

In total, he has now been charged with six counts of criminal sexual contact and one count of sex assault.

Multiple women said he inappropriately touched them while they were his patients at Amboy Urgent Care. An additional woman said Dr. Johal had sexual intercourse with her against her will at his office.

Additional victims have come forward after the Middlesex County Prosecutor first announced Johal's arrest in February, and asked that it be shared in the media to look for additional potential victims.
