Woodbridge Man Dies In Howell Crash

Russel Banasiak, 43, was killed when his vehicle hit a fence and a tree, police said

The Asbury Park Press is reporting that a Woodbridge Township man has died after his vehicle left the road and hit a tree in Howell.

Russel Banasiak, 43, was driving north on Fort Plains Road near West Farms Road at about 12:15 a.m. Sunday, returning home from visiting his girlfriend in Jackson, when his vehicle crossed oer the southbound lane and left the road, hitting a fence and a tree, Howell police told the Press.

Officers performed CPR and administered shocks from a defibrillator before emergency personnel took Banasiak to the Monmouth Medical Center South Campus in Lakewood, where he was pronounced dead, police said, the report said.
