  • John E. McCormac (D): 10,544 votes (projected winner)
  • Susan J. Boros (R): 3,765 votes

These results will remain unofficial until certified by the county clerk. Mail-in ballots still have to be counted Wednesday. But Boros already conceded Tuesday night, saying in a statement on Facebook:

"Thank you everyone for your support. Only 11k voters made their voices heard. For you 3100, I tried. Let's stay the course and let them know when we're not happy with the back room decisions and deals. Government was created to protect her people."

Boros was joined by four Republicans who are trying to unseat the sitting Woodbridge Council members, all Democrats. All the Democrats kept their seats:

  • Lizbeth DeJesus (D): 7,378 votes (projected winner)
  • Brian Small (D): 7,420 votes (projected winner)
  • Kyle Anderson (D): 7,122 votes (projected winner)
  • Greg Ficarra (D): 7,272 votes (projected winner)
  • Paul Lund Jr. (R): 3,529 votes
  • Frank Trombatore (R): 3,351 votes
  • John Vrtaric (R): 3,431 votes
  • Tom Maras: 3,279 votes

One of the biggest issues between the two groups is the current development boom going on in Woodbridge: Boros says the town's suburban feel is being destroyed, while McCormac counters that all the building is good for the economy and brings in ratables (property that provides tax income).
