The proposal would bring a massive new supermarket into town, a plan that has been a hot topic

,   have been discussing before the Planning Board the project to build the 62,042-square-foot ShopRite at the site of the former A&P and strip mall on Wyckoff and Greenwood avenues.

Recent testimony has focused on traffic concerns involving from Greenwood Avenue into the ShopRite lot, and a landscape architect's 3D rendering that    

Commenting on a story  in October, Wyckoff Patch readers suggested that the hearings before the Planning Board had been going on too long, one even suggesting that representatives for Stop & Shop were "playing the town like a fool."

"Stop the madness, please, someone man up and say it's over and get on with the Shop Rite," said reader Todd Graham. "For each day this goes on, Stop and Shop wins, Wyckoff loses."
