Bergen County Sheriff Collects $39,000 In Outstanding Child Support Payments

Three-day sweep conducted to find parents who did not pay court-ordered child support.

Authorities collected more than $39,000 in unpaid child support payments during a three-day sweep in Bergen County this week.

Sheriff’s Michael Saudino’s officers arrested 67 people during the sweep.

Law enforcement agencies throughout the state participated in the sweep, which was held in cooperation with the state Office of Child Support Services (OCSS).

Agencies sought to collect as much of the $2.8 million owed as possible. Bergen County was second in money collected, third for the total amount owed, and sixth for total warrants served.
