Book About Wyckoff Veterans Gets Second Printing

Hawthorne resident and historian Paul Chepurko is the author of "Small Town, Big Sacrifice II."

WYCKOFF, N.J. — The stories of the 46 veterans from Wyckoff and Midland Park are chronicled in 'Small Town, Big Sacrifice II," a book that sold out its initial run and is getting a second.

Hawthorne resident and historian Paul Chepurko wrote the book. Chepurko extensively researched each veteran and chronicles their lives, families and deaths.

Chepurko used local newspapers, military service records, yearbooks and interviews to create a biography for each veterans.

"Where possible I have worked closely with families to gather as much information as possible," Chepurko said. "It has been an honor working on this book."

The book contains more than 130 photographs.
