Dr. Ray Tells His Story
Dr. Ray Milazzo of the Chiropractic Wellness Center of Wyckoff shares his personal history and how he came to know about Chiropractic.

Today I would like to share with you my personal history of how I came to know about Chiropractic. As a youngster I played football and other sports. I always had a lot of traumas but one time while playing strong safety in college, I made a tackle with my neck the wrong way and felt a pinched nerve go down my arm. I thought there was something wrong with my arm, but as I continued to play I realized that it was my neck that was really hurt. I continued to play until I had to be carried off of the field and the uniform cut off of me. After that, I went to the team doctor who was an orthopedist who prescribed muscle relaxers and anti-inflammatories. As you can see, not much has changed in 35 years.
After 2 weeks of lying in bed, I was advised to go see a Chiropractor. The Chiropractor took x-rays of my spine and showed me that I had a subluxation which was causing my pinched nerve in my arm. He also explained how other areas of my spine were subluxated. Before that time, I had always suffered from headaches and bad allergies. He explained that if he could remove the subluxations my body would heal not only from the pinched nerve, but probably from the other problems as well. I said, “sure, go ahead” because I was mostly concerned about playing football again.
Sure enough, after several weeks of Chiropractic care, my pinched nerve was better. I continued with Chiropractic care and pretty soon my headaches and allergies were gone too. I realized then that I was going to change my career and become a Chiropractor.

Last week, we shared with you Dr. Phil’s testimony about how he has used Chiropractic care as a part of his health program for the last 14 years. He asked his Chiropractor this question, “What is it that people don’t get about Chiropractic?” That is exactly the question that I have been wondering for the last 30 years in practice. Chiropractic has been very good to my family, enabling me to raise 2 healthy children without drugs or antibiotics. Now, I am counting on Chiropractic to keep my 2 little girls healthy and growing strong the same way. So far so good.
That is why our purpose in our office is to educate and adjust as many families towards optimum health as possible. We hope yours is one of them.
