Girl Scout Organized "Senior Prom" for Residents at Christian Health Care Center

Adriana Brown, a resident of Harrington Park, planned and put on a senior prom for residents of Heritage Manor Nursing Home at Christian Health Care Center in Wyckoff.

Adriana Brown, a resident of Harrington Park, planned and put on a senior prom for residents of Heritage Manor Nursing Home at Christian Health Care Center (CHCC) in Wyckoff. She was a former Junior Volunteer at CHCC and wanted to do something for the residents to earn a Girl Scout Gold Award, the highest achievement earned by a Girl Scout between the ages of 14 and 18. Adriana brought in dresses for the women and ties for the men and made corsages for everyone.  She researched different ideas for seniors on the Internet and chose to do a senior prom because she recently attended her own senior prom. The residents enjoyed sparkling cider and special parfaits, as well as getting dressed up for an event. Pictured, from left, is Heritage Manor resident Meredith Fowler with Adriana.
