Brother Of Deceased Cop From Wyckoff Raising Money In His Memory

Chris Birch was a Wyckoff resident and Midland Park police officer who was killed in an ATV accident July 6.

WYCKOFF, NJ - The brother of a Midland Park police officer and township resident is trying to raise $5,000 in his memory for the New Jersey Special Olympics.

Chris Birch was killed in an ATV accident July 6. Birch’s brother Cory launched an online campaign to raise money for his Polar Bear Plunge team. Birch participated in the annual cold-water plunge to raise money for the Special Olympics.

“This team is open to his family, his friends, and his fellow officers as we try to raise money for a great cause in honor of a great man,” Cory Birch said on the campaign’s homepage. “Christopher was an amazing friend to all and loved by so many. Together, we hope to honor his legacy through this great yearly event.”
