Cops: Area Package Delivery Scam Hits Wyckoff

Police have identified two black males driving a van with New York state plates as the suspects.

A package delivery scam that has plagued North Jersey has reached Wyckoff, according to Chief Benjamin Fox. 

Two black males driving a van with New York State plates approached a home on William Way on Monday and took a package before driving off, Fox said.

One of the men has been described as “missing many teeth,” police say.

Police say there have been many similar reports throughout North Jersey of black males driving a van with New York license plates.

Officials believe they are having iPhones and other merchandise shipped to various addresses. They track the packages closely and pick them up before the residents know that anything has been delivered, police say.

Residents are urged to contact the police if anyone comes to the door asking for a package which they claim has been delivered.
