Final Rain Totals Released For Bergen County Towns As New Storm On Way

Which Bergen County town got the most rain, how high were wind gusts, and what time will the next storm arrive?

BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — As rivers crested in Bergen County and workers removed downed trees Wednesday (including the one pictured above in Ridgewood), local towns prepared for a new storm that's predicted for this Friday night.

The storm is expected to dump 1-2 inches of rain on the area starting after 1 a.m. Saturday morning, with thunderstorms possible. The Saddle River is expected to reach minor flood stage again early Saturday morning (see link below).

However, the storm is not expected to include the high wind gusts that caused trees to sway during the Tuesday storm. Winds of 55 MPH were clocked at Teterboro airport, the NWS said.
