Firefighter Honored for 70 Years of Service, Wyckoff Designated A Stigma-Free Zone

- John Ruit was honored at a council meeting recently for 70 years of service to the community. He remains an active member of Company No. 3 and is the longest service volunteer firefighter in the town. We’ll talk to officials about Ruit’s service and what someone like him means to the community.
- Two junior and three probationary firefighters were sworn into service at a recent council meeting.
- Wyckoff has been designed a stigma free zone. Officials proclaimed the township a stigma free zone to promote the treatment of individuals, especially children, who suffer from severe mental illnesses, including schizophrenia, depression, and bipolor disorder. We’ll talk to officials and find out what promoted the proclamation to be approved.
