Franklin Lakes Issues Ongoing Traffic Advisory

Franklin Lakes has issued an ongoing traffic advisory.

There will be ongoing road work on Colonial Road while a sewer line is installed. The current work will close Colonial Road between Franklin Avenue and Sunset Terrace from 7 a.m. to approximately 4 p.m. each day. This section of the road and will be closed to all traffic during those hours. It is anticipated that this project will be completed by mid-December.

The current posted traffic plan will detour Colonial Rd traffic onto Sunset Terrace to Connie Avenue and vice-versa for traffic entering off Franklin Avenue. The detour route will be clearly marked with signs and monitored by County inspectors and Franklin Lakes Police.

Residents should plan alternate routes and follow the detour as needed.
