Boys, girls teams secure victory in final race

The Boys and Girls Swim Teams won their first meets of the season Tuesday night in a close meet against Ramsey. 

The Lady Braves’ medley relay won the first event, but then trailed Ramsey. After event six they tied it up, but Ramsey regained the lead until the final event.

In order for Indian Hills to win, they had to place first and third in the last relay against a strong group of Ramsey swimmers.

Ramsey held an early lead in the race, but eventually the Indian Hills girls finished first and third to make the final score 86-84.

On the boys side, Ramsey took the lead for the first three events and then Indian Hills took over after finishing 1,2,3 in the 50 freestyle.

They held a comfortable lead until the 100 breaststroke where Ramsey picked up eight points on the Braves. A three point Ramsey lead going into the last race meant Indian Hills would need 6 points for the win. 

The boys placed second and third for 6 points and won with a score of 85-84.

The squad's next event is scheduled for December 15 at 5:30 p.m. at the .
