NJ Reality Stars Prove There’s More to Life Than Drama At Project Ladybug Fundraiser

Stars including Dina Manzo of the Real Housewives of NJ raise almost $8,000 for charity

Last weekend an auction attended by stars from the Real Housewives of New Jersey, Jersey Shore, Cake Boss and Jerseylicious held at the 4Sixty6 club in West Orange raised $7,500 for charity.

Dina Manzo, of the Real Housewives of New Jersey, started Project Ladybug, the benefiting charity, before she became a Housewife of New Jersey.

Project Ladybug is a non-profit organization that fights to improve the lives of children with life-threatening conditions. The organization provides financial and emotional support for less fortunate families during the hardships of treatment, including attempting to help the children escape their battle with illness through birthday celebrations, computers, clothing, toys, wigs, and other gifts.

According to Maria Cucciniello, the owner of The Hip Event held last weekend, the auction was the first of its kind to bring so many New Jersey reality TV stars together.

“Everybody got along. There was no drama,” Cucciniello said.  “My favorite movement was when the stars all came together to sign the Moet bottle, which was donated, and one lucky winner got it.”

Manzo was among the 150 plus guests at the event.

What Cucciniello described as an Andy Warhol-esque photo of the Real Housewives of New Jersey Season One stars was auctioned off for $1,000 and was purchased by the owner of the club where the event was held.

“There’s drama on all their shows but everybody out to support this charity,” said Cucciniello. “At the end of the day, that’s all that really matters.”
