Public Comment, Decision on Expert Expected at Planning Board Meeting
ShopRite application meeting is tonight at 7 p.m.

The Wyckoff Planning Board is expected to make some decision at a meeting tonight regarding its , as well as hear public comments regarding the pending application to build a sprawling ShopRite adjacent to Boulder Run.
The special planning board meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. in the second floor courtroom in .

Sources say Planning Board Attorney Joseph Perconti is likely to make a decision tonight whether or not Dean is fit to continue as expert for the township.

Inglima said that Dean, who was hired as the Wyckoff Planning Board's traffic engineering consultant in the Fall of 2010, is involved in an ongoing New Milford Zoning Board application involving both Inserra Supermarkets — the company that filed the application before the Wyckoff Planning Board — and an attorney from the law firm of Beattie Padovano.
Attorney John Lamb, who is arguing for the applicant in the Wyckoff ShopRite application, works for Beattie Padovano.

A Long Time Coming for Public Comment
Wyckoff Mayor Chris DePhillips, who also serves as a township planning board member, made efforts in March to ensure the oft shuffled public comment session scheduled for the beginning of tonight's meeting wouldn't be derailed.
The public comment session has been as the planning board listened to extended testimony and prolonged cross examination of experts.
Residents have already had the opportunity to ask questions tailored to specific experts following testimony, but have not yet been given a forum in which to make general comments or ask questions of the board.
Tonight's meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. and it had been previously stated by planners that the public rap session would be held at the front end of the meeting for the convenience of residents.
