Police: Woman Killed In Wyckoff Motorcycle Crash

Authorities said the woman was thrown from the motorcycle and hit a utility pole.

A 42-year-old Mahwah woman was killed Thursday night when she was thrown from her motorcycle and struck a utility pole, authorities said.

Georgina Marballie-Messaros was driving a Harley Davidson motorcycle on West Main Street when the motorcycle struck a curb, said Wyckoff Police Chief Benjamin Fox.

Marballie-Messaros was thrown from the motorcycle and struck a utility pole, Fox said; the Wyckoff Volunteer Ambulance Corps transported her to Hackensack University Medical Center where she was pronounced dead.

There were no other vehicles involved and no one saw the crash, authorities reported. Authorities are investigating the accident.
