Ramapo Alum Named Big East Player of the Week
Syracuse Kicker Ross Krautman kicked the game-winning field goal against Tulane.
Ross Krautman, a Ramapo High School alumnus and current kicker on the Syracuse University football team, was named the Big East Special Teams Player of the Week following a victory against Tulane in New Orleans Saturday.
Krautman scored three field goals during the game, including a game-winning 21-yard kick in the last few moments of play.
Krautman, a sophomore, was named Lou Graza Star of the Week recently and earlier this year. The award is given to the country's best college place-kicker each December. He made 18 of his 19 field goal attempts during his freshman season.
