Ramapo Senior Receives Scholarship, Praise from Wyckoff Committee
Scholarship awarded by New Jersey League State of Municipalities

The Township Committee announced Tuesday that Wyckoff resident Blain Bradley was selected as the winner of a $1,000 scholarship.
Bradley, a senior at Ramapo High School, was chosen for the honor after submitting an essay to the New Jersey League State of Municipalities on local governance.
The essay begins by quoting James Madison — "If all men were angels, government would not be necessary." — and goes on to outline the workings of municipal government and Bradley's high opinion of the township government over the years, without naming specific governing body members past or present.

"Living in Wyckoff has bettered my life tremendously," Bradley wrote. "It's a town that is rich in culture, history, and there is never a dull moment here."
The scholarship, named in honor of Louis Bay II, Mayor Emeritus of Hawthorne, is sponsored by the New Jersey League State of Municipalities.
