Warming Centers With Cell Phone Charging Stations Open In Wyckoff

The YMCA and Christian Health Care Center are allowing people who don't have power to come in, get warm and charge their cell phones.

WYCKOFF, NJ — Warming centers with cell phone charging stations have opened in town to help people who are still without power.

Friday, the centers are at:

  • Town Hall, 340 Franklin Ave., in the second floor courtroom
  • Christian Health Care Center, off of Mountain Avenue, in the Commons building near the first parking area on the left.
  • Wyckoff Family YMCA, 691 Wyckoff Ave. Showers may also be used.

On Saturday and Sunday, the auditorium at the Christian Health Care Center may be used from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Showers will be available on Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. to noon at the center's Adult Day Services of Wyckoff.

Showers may be used at the YMCA from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

More than 1,700 township residents still do not have power following Wednesday's nor'easter. The storm blanketed nearby Franklin Lakes with 24 inches of snow.
