Birch’s wife, Karen, created T-shirts she’s selling to help the CTC Academy, a non-profit in Midland Park. The school provides educational and therapeutic services to children with physical, medical, and developmental disabilities.

“Children and special education was something Chris cared deeply about and CTC Academy was near and dear to his heart,” Karen Birch said. “Chris loved walking the hallways at CTC, having the opportunity to bond with the students and talking with the teachers and staff.”

All the funds donated from the fundraiser will be donated to the academy. The school is in the process of relocating to a new 39,000-sqquare foot facility in Oakland with new therapeutic equipment, including an aqua therapy pool.

Karen Birth wants to raise more than $15,000. More than $2,300 has been donated to date. Long-sleeved shirts cost $20, short-sleeved ones cost $15.
