Wyckoff Fishing Derby Casts Off June 2

The township and organizers from the 30th annual Fishing Derby are looking for young anglers to participate in a rain-or-shine event early next month.

Historically the fishing derby brings out approximately 200 anglers and their parents to for fishing and fun. Registration begins at 8:45 a.m. and fishing runs from 9 a.m. to 10:15 a.m.

Township officials ask that anyone participating refrain from using barbed hooks in order to cause less distress to the fish.

Prizes will be awarded in three categories at the end of the catch-and-release event, with fish being measured by members of the Environmental Commission.
