Wyckoff Volunteers Helping Seniors Register For COVID-19 Vaccine

Volunteers can help book vaccine appointments in Wyckoff. Here's how to get in touch.

WYCKOFF, NJ — Volunteers are available to help Wyckoff seniors over 65 register for a COVID-19 vaccine.

Those interested can call 201-891-7000, ext. 116, and leave a message with their name, phone number and address.

A volunteer will then follow up, according to officials.

Mayor Melissa Rubenstein tells Patch that the people running this initiative aren't township employees, but Wyckoff is helping to coordinate.

"They are individuals who have volunteered but are not affiliated with or are Township employees. The Township is coordinating their efforts to help seniors obtain the vaccine," she said.

These types of assistance efforts are becoming more of a trend across the state as people try to navigate various vaccination sign up portals.

New Jersey Covid Vaccine Info is a Facebook group touting over 100,000 members which helps residents find appointments.

The group was founded by two Wyckoff natives in sisters Brandi Prell and Brittany Prell Cohen, according to NJ.com.
