Wyckoff Y Charity Buddy Walk Is Saturday
William and Jennifer Burns are the chairpersons this year. They have a daughter, Shannon, with Down Syndrome.

WYCKOFF, N.J. — The YMCA's 12th annual Buddy Walk is Saturday.
The walk raises awareness, advocates for greater inclusion for children with Down Syndrome, and helps fund programs for special needs children at the Y.
The parents of a little girl with Down Syndrome, William and Jennifer Burns, of Ramsey, are the honorary chairpersons of the event this year. Their daughter, Shannon, was diagnosed with Down Syndrome six months before she was born.

The Burnses received "amazing" support from the Billy's Buddies group at the YMCA. The group works to help parents of children with Down Syndrome and the New Jersey Special Olympics.
The Burns' team, Shannon's Family of Faith, has raised more than $40,000 in the past two years.
