Albuquerque DWI crash survivor faces months-long recovery, urges drivers not to drink and drive (kob.com) — An Albuquerque woman is facing months of recovery after a suspected drunk driver crossed the median on Coors Boulevard and crashed into her car, adding to a deadly year on city roads. From her hospital bed, she's urging Albuquerque drivers not to drink and drive as police pursue DWI and hit-and-run charges against the other driver.
   

2. Media Alert: Seeking Information: Attempted Robbery at Route 66 Travel Center (vannuysnewspress.com) — Federal agents in Albuquerque and Laguna police are asking for the public's help identifying a man who tried to rob the Route 66 Travel Center off I-40 near Exit 140 on Pueblo of Laguna land. The FBI is offering up to $25,000 for tips that lead to his identification and arrest, and urges anyone with information to contact the Albuquerque office or submit an online tip.
   

3. Albuquerque TED Talk challenges hundreds of attendees to 'reframe' their perspectives (krqe.com) — Hundreds of residents packed into this year's TEDxABQ event in Albuquerque, where 18 New Mexico speakers urged attendees to "reframe" how they see leadership, relationships, work, and health. With Mayor Tim Keller opening the program, locals heard deeply personal stories, including one from a formerly incarcerated speaker, aimed at inspiring fresh perspectives and community change.
   

4. Report: Over $7 billion in state funds meant for New Mexico infrastructure projects is unused (krqe.com) — New Mexico lawmakers are scrutinizing more than $7 billion in unspent capital outlay funds, including money tied to projects in Albuquerque like the $10 million renovation of the Albuquerque Railyards. Analysts say thousands of local and higher-education projects are stalled or poorly planned, leaving critical infrastructure and community improvements delayed statewide. New rules now aim to tighten planning and limit repeated reauthorizations.
   

5. New Mexico Argued a Federal Judge Did Not Have to Follow the Appeals Court. He Blocked the State's Gun Waiting Period Anyway (usacarry.com) — A federal judge in Albuquerque has barred New Mexico from enforcing its gun waiting-period law against two plaintiffs, relying on a prior Tenth Circuit ruling that found waiting periods inconsistent with historical Second Amendment practice.
