Investigators say the incidents happened in February and April, with the suspect arrested Friday at Albany Medical Center and arraigned in Albany City Criminal Court. He's now being held in Albany County Jail on bail.

IBM's Anderon Secures $1B Quantum Wafer Foundry Deal (exeleonmagazine.com) — Albany's growing tech sector just landed a major boost, with IBM's Anderon unit securing a $1 billion federal award—matched by another $1 billion from IBM—to expand its quantum wafer foundry in the city. The facility is already producing wafers and is positioned to serve outside quantum-computing customers, potentially bringing more high‑skill jobs, research partnerships, and long‑term investment into the Capital Region.

Wolff's Biergarten holds annual Oktoberfest (news10.com) — Downtown Albany was packed today as Wolff's Biergarten's annual Oktoberfest drew thousands despite the rain, filling the streets with live music, food vendors, and even dog races.
