5 Things to Know: July 12th

1. We've gotten really lucky with our weather this week so far – no thunderstorms, no humidity and beautiful skies. More of the same is in store for us on Thursday with highs in Babylon Village reaching about 85 degrees. No shot of rain tomorrow afternoon, but keep the sunblock handy again as the UV is forecasted to be higher than previous days.

2. Hang ten and check out West Babylon Public Library at 1:00 p.m. to . Children ages 10 and under are invited to drop in and design your own paper surfboard. Give these jumbo-sized paper surfboards a fun tropical design while rocking out with some fun summer tunes!

3. Give back to the community and take a  at Captree State Park tonight. Sail abord the renowned Delta Lady starting at 6:00 p.m. and enjoy a wonderful evening of music, complimentary beer & wine, dinner and raffles. All proceeds benefit the Michael Magro Foundation – $65.00 per person.

4. Become your own cheese maker at West Babylon Public Library. Chef Richard, owner of Kanobley Catering, will take you through the process of starting at 7:00 p.m.. All participants will then take the curd and create their own ball of fresh mozzarella to take home and enjoy. Please bring a large mixing bowl to the class.

5. Get to know your future a bit better with a by Claire at the Babylon Bean starting at 7:30 p.m.
