Police: Driver Charged With DWI After West Babylon Crash
Stephen Kokser, 49, suffered a serious injury to his arm in Tuesday night crash, police say.
A Bay Shore man was seriously injured and later charged with DWI following a crash in West Babylon Tuesday night, police said.
Stephen Kokser, 49, was driving on the southbound ramp of Route 109 from westbound Sunrise Highway when lost control of his 2006 Nissan X-Terra around 8:30 p.m., police said.
The vehicle overturned and crashed onto the southbound lanes of Route 109, police said.

Kokser suffered a serious injury to his arm that was pinned under his vehicle during the crash, police said. He was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital and is listed in stable condition.
A passenger in the vehicle, Christopher Santiago, 40, was transported to Good Samaritan, where he was treated for minor injuries.

The vehicle was impounded for a safety check and the investigation is continuing, police said.
