Bed-Stuy Thief Snags $600 Saks Dress From Stoop, Police Say

Video footage shows a man in a black Yankees cap stealing a package from a Bed-Stuy stoop near Bainbridge Street and Stuyvesant Avenue.

BEDFORD-STUYVESANT, BROOKLYN — Police are looking for the man who stole a package with a $600 dress inside it from a Bed-Stuy doorstep.

The stoop thief nabbed the package, which was left outside a private home near Bainbridge Street and Stuyvesant Avenue, around 1:20 p.m. on May 10, police said.

The package contained a blue dress from Saks Fifth Avenue that was worth $600, according to police.

Surveillance cameras caught video of a man in a black knit Yankees ambling up the steps then walking away with the package in his hands.
