Cops Release Video Of 3rd Bed-Stuy Shooting In Less Than 48 Hours
The early Friday morning shooting, which happened a few blocks from a fatal shooting Thursday, left two in critical condition, cops said.

BED-STUY, BROOKLYN — Police have released video of a shooting on Chauncey Street that left two people in critical condition early Friday morning, the third time in less than 48 hours someone was shot in the neighborhood.
The 30-year-old man and 28-year-old woman were sitting in their car across from 155 Chauncey St. around 1 a.m. Friday when the shooter came up and opened fire through the window, according to police.
The man was hit in the left arm and abdomen and the woman was hit in the lower back, hip and shoulder, police said. They were both taken to Kings county Hospital in critical condition.

The shooting happened only a few steps from another shooting on Thursday and is at least the third incident of gun violence in the neighborhood in a 48-hour span last week.
In the shooting on Thursday, 22-year-old Shyhiem McLean was found fatally shot outside his home on Chauncey Street. In the third, a 28-year-old man was found dead on Wednesday on Herkimer Street.

The shootings come as the city and Brooklyn deal with an ongoin increase in gun violence.
Council Member Robert Cornegy and anti-violence groups held a press conference on Chauncey Street on Monday to speak out about the most recent shootings.
Neighbors on the Chauncey Street block have also written a letter to their elected officials asking for more action to prevent the violence.
Police said the shooter from Friday is, possibly in his teens with a thin build and was last seen wearing all black clothing.
