Emerald City

Elgin
Gallery is pleased to announce Emerald City, a solo show featuring Lizbeth Mitty. Mitty's bold and beautiful paintings of urban archeology and human discard, which have earned
her a spot in publications, galleries and museums since the 80's, have taken on
new formal qualities riding on abstraction. Since her last one-person show in
2010, this new and powerful body of work sheds light on four years of painting;
the outsize pieces, comprehensively demanding in their attractiveness and
conceptualism, have been described as "jewel-like" in their resolve.

Please
join us for the opening reception of Emerald City at Elgin Gallery on Friday,
May 2nd from 6:30-9 PM. Admission to the gallery is free. The exhibit will be
on display through Sunday, June 8th and may be viewed Friday-Sunday from 1 PM
until 6 PM or by appointment. We look forward to seeing you at Elgin
Gallery!
