Join the STooPS team at Macon Library for an afternoon of art-making with your neighbors! STooPS is a community-building event that uses the arts to bring people outside and promotes social interaction among artists, homeowners, residents, and businesses of Bed-Stuy. On June 14th, Bed-Stuy homeowners and businesses will host local artists’ mini performances and art showcases on their stoops, yards, or sidewalks. Thanks to the Macon Library, you don’t have to wait until June 14th to be a part of the STooPS experience!
During More STooPS in May, participants will create within small groups a STooPS performance, exhibition, or other experience. Guided by Kendra Ross and DeeArah Wright of the STooPS team and several STooPS artists, participants will present their works for the community on the Macon Library stoop. Youth ages 12 years and under must be accompanied by an adult, yet all ages are welcome.
Share some time and creativity with familiar and new community folks at More STooPS in May!
