St. George's Episcopal Church 145th Anniversary

Founder’s Day Celebration - 145 th Church Anniversary for St. George’s Episcopal Church.

St. George’s Episcopal/Anglican Church, whose Rector is the Very Reverend Canon Glenworth D. Miles, was formally organized in October 1869. The parish at Marcy and Gates Avenues is a neighborhood landmark with numerous social and religious outreach programs. St. George’s was designated a Brooklyn Landmark by the Landmarks Preservation Commission of the City of New York in January 1977; the Church has numerous figural windows by the Tiffany Studio from the 1880s.
