3 CT Teens Arrested In Bedford For Stealing Car: Police
Police pursued trio until the car's front tire blew out.

BEDFORD, NY — Three Connecticut teenagers were arrested Sunday, July 16 for allegedly stealing a car in Connecticut. Bedford Police said they received a report around 3:35 a.m. from the Greenwich Police that a stolen green Honda CRV with Connecticut plates was seen traveling north on North Street near the state line. Within a few minutes, Bedford Police saw the vehicle making a right turn from Greenwich Road onto Old Post Road.
The stolen vehicle was pursued by Bedford Police on Pound Ridge Road into Pound Ridge and then onto Route 124 in Lewisboro, but the operator of the stolen vehicle failed to comply and pull over. [Get Patch’s Daily Newsletter and Real Time News Alerts here.]
The police pursuit then went back into Bedford, and as a result of driving off the roadway numerous times, the Honda's right front tire blew out.

Police stopped the stolen vehicle on Old Post Road near Fox Lane, and three suspects were taken into custody around 4:10 a.m.
All three male suspects are Hartford, CT residents. The 15-year-old driver and two passengers — a 17-year-old and a 15-year-old — were charged with criminal possession of stolen property, a class D Felony.

The 17-year-old was arraigned and taken to the Westchester County Jail on $10,000 bail with a return date in Bedford Court of Wednesday, July 19. The two others were taken to a juvenile detention facility in Valhalla and were expected to appear in Family Court appearance Monday, July 17.
Police did not release any of the names.
