Bedford Hills Inmate, 41, Arrested on Felony Assault Charge for Alleged Slashing Attack
The incident occurred in December 2013.

Tami Eldridge, 41, an inmate at the Bedford Hills Correctional Facility, allegedly slashed another inmate with a razor during a fight at the prison in December 2013, according to state police.
The victim, whose identity was not disclosed, suffered injuries to her face and hand, and a correctional officer also suffered minor injuries while breaking up the skirmish.
Both women are separately serving long-term sentences for homicide, according to state police.

Eldridge was indicted and arrested on charges of Assault 1st Degree (2 counts / Class B Felony), Assault 2nd Degree (2 counts / Class D Felony) and one count each of Promoting Prison Contraband and Obstruction Governmental Administration (Class A Misdemeanors).

On December 16th, 2014, inmate Tami Eldridge, age 41, of Bedford Hills Correctional Facility was indicted by a Westchester County Grand Jury on charges of Assault 1st Degree (2 counts / Class B Felony), Assault 2nd Degree (2 counts / Class D Felony) and one count each of Promoting Prison Contraband and Obstruction Governmental Administration (Class A Misdemeanors).
The indictment was a result of a violent assault committed by Eldridge against another inmate while at the facility which occurred on December 5, 2013. Inmate Eldridge, who is currently serving a long term incarceration for homicide, attacked the inmate with a razor causing injuries to her face and hand. During the attack Correction Officers attempted to separate the two inmates during which time one of the officers sustained minor injuries. The victim inmate, who is also serving time for homicide, was treated at Westchester County Medical Center on the date of the assault and eventually transported back to Bedford Hills Correctional Facility. Bedford Hills Correctional Facility houses female inmates and is the only maximum security prison for women in New York State.
