Fleeing Car Rammed FBI Vehicle During I-684 Multi-Agency Chase: Police
The suspects were eventually stopped on southbound Route 22 after getting stuck in traffic, according to North Castle police.
HUDSON VALLEY, NY — On Wednesday morning, the North Castle Police Department was alerted that New York State Police troopers were attempting to stop a vehicle on I-684 south, at exit 4 in Bedford.
The black Acura reportedly had an improper Connecticut registration plate affixed to it. The department was informed that the vehicle fled from the attempted traffic stop on I-684, and was last seen taking exit 4.
At approximately 9:11 a.m., the vehicle was spotted on Route 22 in Armonk, near I-684. Federal, state, and local law enforcement arrived in the area and began to search for the Acura with North Castle police.

Soon after, an FBI unit saw the vehicle on Route 22, in the area of Maple Avenue. The Acura then intentionally rammed the FBI vehicle and fled southbound on Route 22, according to police.
The Westchester County Police aviation unit was able to track the vehicle as it went back onto I-684, at exit 2, and then exited back into Armonk at exit 3. The vehicle was stopped on southbound Route 22, just north of the Maple Avenue intersection, as it became stuck in traffic.

The vehicle's driver and passenger were taken into custody and turned over to New York State Police.
"This incident highlights collaboration and very fast response of our neighboring partner law enforcement agencies to include the New York State Police, Westchester County Police, and the FBI who assisted in this incident," the North Castle Police Department said in a statement.
