NYS Assemblyman Burdick Makes Bedford Town Election Endorsements

New York State Assemblyman Chris Burdick (AD 93) has endorsed the Democratic slate in the upcoming Town of Bedford local elections.

“I enthusiastically endorse Ellen Calves for Town Supervisor, Stephanie McCaine and Andrés Castillo-Quintana for Town Board, and Jodi Kimmel for Town Justice,“ said Burdick, the former Bedford Town Supervisor. “Committed to the values we hold dear as a community, they will foster open and honest communications, growth and prosperity, affordable living, sustainability, and a greater sense of community and connection”.

Noting her significant experience as deputy town supervisor and as an ardent environmentalist, Burdick says Calves “has the vision and perseverance to successfully lead our town into the future”. He noted that as a third-generation Bedford resident, McCaine “is already a valued and insightful member of the Town Board,” and that as a first-generation Peruvian immigrant, magna cum laude Princeton graduate, healthcare administrator and nonprofit leader, Castillo-Quintana will “bring a fresh perspective to the Town Board”. In addition, aiming to be the first woman serving as Town Justice, Burdick says Kimmel has “the legal experience, compassion - and most importantly the judicial temperament - that we need on the bench”.

This fall registered voters in Westchester County will have an additional early nine days to cast their ballot, starting on October 23 and leading up to Election Day on November 2. Details are available from the Westchester County Board of Elections.
