Members of Sanford H. Calhoun High School’s Breakfast Club, with the help of students in the school’s Prep for Life program, recently took time out of their day to make Valentine’s Day cards for veterans.
Using red construction paper, glue, scissors and glitter, the two student groups worked side by side to thank veterans for their service.
The Prep for Life program assists students with disabilities in developing skills that will help them transition out of school into their adult life. Through philanthropic initiatives, students learn about the power of giving while simultaneously acquiring the values of teamwork, collaboration, creativity and focus.
