In celebration of March as Music In Our Schools month, third-graders at Winthrop Avenue School in Bellmore performed a special concert for parents, peers and administrators.
Complete with drums, tambourines, recorders and other instruments, the talented musicians performed selections including “Making Music All Day Long,” “I Got Rhythm” and “Feel the Beat.” To conclude the program, the chorus hosted a sing-along where they coached the audience from the stage.
“I can feel the excitement in the room,” Principal Sally Curto told the students. “It’s contagious!”
