• LI oyster farm, arts group give shells new life (libn.com) — Bellport High School is among the first schools receiving repurposed oyster shells from an Islip-based farm's new partnership with the Long Island Arts Alliance. The Long Island Creative Reuse Project turns discarded shells into free or low-cost materials for local schools, museums, and artists, keeping waste out of landfills while strengthening arts education across the region.
